We will miss you Max
It was about 4 years ago Colby was asking for a lizard... one day we stopped by the local pet store. Well instead of a lizard we came home with a tiny little guinea pig that we named Max. I found out soon enough that we (Todd and I) are both allergic to Max. Despite the hives, sneezing, and itchy eyes we continued to take care of Max, he always made us laugh! He loved to dump his food bowl and find his favorite food, eat raisins, and chew on paper towel rolls! SO CUTE! Anyways... I noticed he wasn’t feeling well last night! I took him to the vet this morning to find out that Max has pneumonia... Addison picked him up when I was changing his cage about a week ago which could have possibility caused injury or he could have just gotten sick. The super nice vet Dr. Ford offered a very expensive treatment plan with very low success rate... so I made the hard decision to put him asleep! I often, most always wear my heart on my sleeve so yes I cried like a baby! This morning and last night I tried to prepare Colby that Max might have to go to Heaven to say the least it didn’t go so well. I am dreading telling my sweet angle boy that his pet he loves has gone to heaven! Prayers for my sweet 6 year olds heart cause I know this will be hard on him. I know they say this is a good life lesion... but it sure is a sad one! We will miss sweet Max!

Oh, what a yucky thing to go through! I remember when my bird died when I was 5... it was awful. I know you will find the right way to deal with this though, Super Mommy. :) Poor kid.
Oh Marcia!!! That made me sad all day! HUGS to Colby!
She has hip dysplasia. Basically her hips aren't aligned so this keeps them in place. :)
Oh no! We went through this with our cat last year with Jackson. We was pretty upset and it tore me to peices seeing my baby so sad. I'll be thinking of you all!!
