What a weekend!
Last weekend we planned a trip out to mom and dads farm! I had the whole weekend planned out in my head and boy o boy it is going to be a blast! We pack my new car and hit the road… about 45 min into the drive Addison vomits all over my new car... NICE! At this point I am so happy we had leather seats but after a 2 1/2 hour drive in a car that smells like vomit we couldn’t get out fast enough!! So right off the bat I couldn’t wait to go see the new baby horses!!! We walk down to the barn and see the sweet babies…. Well about 5 min later I see Addison rubbing her eyes... so we go inside wash her hands as I think she is getting sleepy getting her ready for her nap. Well ... 5 more minutes her face swells up! I call moms cell phone in a panic as I am in the house all alone (they are in the barn with the horse) With in 30 seconds Ang comes running... her first reaction is MAN SHE LOOKS LIKE HITCH! LOL I couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time. So off Ang went to the corner store to get some Benadrill. She must have drove 100 MPH cause she was back with in 2 mins! Thank goodness Colby's asthma has been flaring up because I brought his neb. machine with us JUST IN CASE.
At this point Addison had started wheezing... so 3 breathing treatments later I decide it is best for us to GO HOME. Colby was devastated!! That is anther BLOG!! UGH. We pile into the car and get home about 10:30 pm...
First thing Monday we are off to see Dr. Arca.... it so happened that she had her 18 month check up at 9:45 that day. They give Addison 3 shots and take her blood trying to find out what caused this reaction. Yesterday Dr. Arca her self ( you know it is bad when its the actual DR) called to tell me Addison is VERY allergic to horses! On a scale from 1 being the least and 4 the worst Addison is 3.5. Sure that is fine in a normal person’s life but NOT MINE! My parents have 23 (I think) horses!! That is where MOST of our holidays are spent! This is devastation news! Pretty much my daughter has to avoid horses AT ALL COST!!! Having a life threaten allergy means, if she comes in contact with any horse or horse dander it could be fatal to her. From now on we will have to make sure I have an eppy-pin (spelling) on me at all times from here on out.
This leaves me praying that she out grows this allergy so that my daughter will be able to know her grandma and grandpa! If yall know my parents you know that they eat, sleep, and breathe horses!! Meaning that they don’t leave the farm much! That breaks my heart so bad I can’t even express it!! I am very grateful that my daughter is ok and we know the cause of this but it still STINKS!

I will definitely pray that she outgrows the horse allergy. I am so sorry! I know this is just devastating to you...but it will all work out. Maybe your parents will come out to see Addy at HER house more since she can't go there.
